Boca is gone, have not been to the others you mentioned.

Unless I am in the northeast or Florida, I rarely go to an Italian place because I am usually disappointed. It?s not only that the Italian food here is bland they usually overcook it. I am also particular about regional food; there is a big difference in taste and ingredients from the south to the north of Italy. I have been to places that boast of Tuscany but taste like Sicily.

Then there is LaRosa?s that tastes like shit.

Boca moved to Oakley. I've heard it's wonderful, but I'm sure trav and gae will hate it, with their snooty, high falutin' standards and all.

I've also heard it's very expensive and reservations are needed.

Yeah, I wasn't impressed with Scalea's but it was palatable...kind of the high standard for Italian around here!

Take them to La Luce in Chicago...we love that place!!!

See I like the Loveland trail not because I'm particularly interested in what all those timberland-wearing granola-heads from the east-side think, but because it's the right-of-way from the Little Miami RR, first railway into Cincinnati.

But Jumper and D2 don't like it because it's too easy for them. Being the extreme power couple that they are, they like to grind in the dogbowl, and go boneless through a half-pipe.

But I just like to get on a bike and roll downhill.

I like the Loveland bike trail because it gives me something to do with my out of town guests. It's the one thing they seemed to like.

So it looks now (as my friend's wife put it) their visit to Cincinnati will be a spa/fat farm adventure, that will include pilates, a long bike ride, and healthy mediterranean food. And for fun, I got my friend who just graduated from massage therapy school to agree to give one massage at a good rate (I'll pay for that). I threw that in because the wife is kind of spoiled.

Kind of ironic since Cincinnati is like one of the top 20 fattest cities. Just tell your friend to look around and that will make her want to diet and exercise.

Lew, you know us too well!
